My name is Christopher Jon Stolte and am a sophomore at Iowa State University and am majoring in Software Engineering with a Dance Minor and enjoying the program, school, and everything else about Ames.
I was born back in 1990 in St. Paul, Minnesota. I grew up in my younger years in Mahtomedi, Minnesota and attended up through 4th grade in the Mahtomedi Public School System. We then Moved to Lino Lakes, MN and started 5th grade in the White Bear Lake school system at Otter Lake Elementary.
I attended White Bear Lake Area High Schools, North Campus for 9th and 10th grades and South Campus for 11th and 12th grades. I learned so much and experianced many things that I could not of imagined and had some of the best friendships created. From the many activities that I participated in I gained great experiances from leadership skills to social skills. I graduated from White Bear Lake Area High School in the Spring of 2009.
Another thing I am very proud to say is that in 2008 I earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Being in the Boy Scouts has helped shape who I am today and enjoyed all the experiances I got out of it. I am also proud to say that I have earned the Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow which is an national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. The Vigil Honor is a high mark of distinction and recognigtion that is described from the Order of the Arrow Website that is "reserved for those Arrowmen who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort, and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions beyond the immediate responsibilities of their position of office to one or more of the following: lodge, Scouting community, and Scout Camp."
